A couple weeks back, a captured a very simple portrait that came across with a distinct 70s catalog feel. It’s amazing what simple composition and a vintage ‘T’ will do for an image. Here’s the original shot side-by-side with a simple post-process.

From that spawned a simple promo idea. At first, I thought I needed some elaborate illustrative artwork, so I hopped on over to ShutterStock and found more than I needed…but at a very hefty pricetag. Not going to happen. Fortunately, I found some terrific Photoshop brushes over at Brusheezy and went to work on my own. Two hours later, I had my promo.

All that was left was to send this puppy off to my favorite friends at Modern Postcard to get them printed as 3×5″ postcards, ready for mailing or just handing out.
